Get ready for a one-day adventure with snowshoeing in Northwestern Rila, a day filled with many emotions and incredible winter panoramas of the snow-covered Rila.
Tour Itinerary
Departure from Sofia in the late afternoon. Our meeting point is in front of the Vasil Levski National Stadium and the second stop is at the 'Metro' store. For those with private transport, the meeting point is at a location near the village of Govedartsi. We leave our cars near the village. The guides provide a brief briefing to the group and safety instructions. We pack our backpacks and head towards the Mechit hut. After about 1 hour, we arrive at the hut. It’s bustling, clean, and hospitable. That's how we can describe it. Equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. Once settled, we have dinner and call it a night to be ready to easily climb to the peak the next day.
7:30 AM - Breakfast
8:30 AM - We set off towards our destination.

Headlamp - An absolute must-have accessory for every mountaineer. It may be necessary for the group to start a trek very early or finish the trek in the dark (force majeure). In these situations, each participant must have a headlamp. We recommend going with a proven brand like Petzl or BlackDiamond

About 40 liters backpack - Quite enough for one or two day hikes. Please come to treks with a backpack suitable for trekking. Very often, each participant needs to attach snowshoes to their backpack, and this cannot happen with urban backpacks
