Licensed tour operator
Epic Tours Ltd is a registered and licensed tour operator under the Tourism Act. All our guides hold certifications to the relevant professional standards.
A protocol, not marketing copy
"Safety first" isn't marketing copy for us — it's a protocol. Every guide completes a first-aid course, which they renew regularly. We run group trainings for incident response in the mountains and on the water. Every client gets a clear pre-trip briefing with route, risk, and equipment — and our groups are structured based on the experience and fitness of participants, not on our desire to fill seats.
Guides and credentials
Every guide at Epic Tours holds a document you can verify. Founder Plamena Petrova is a licensed senior canoe-kayak coach with the Ministry of Sport, a mountain guide in the Ministry of Tourism register (№ B-00296), British Canoeing Sea Leader (EPP level 3), and Class "A" ski instructor — a rare combination that lets us work professionally on both sea and mountain. The rest of the team hold mountain guide licenses, kayak coaching certificates, bushcraft instructor grades, and British Canoeing Personal Performance Award.
